Bank Muscat is the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate of Oman with a strong presence in corporate banking, retail banking, investment banking, treasury, private banking and asset management. The bank, with assets worth US$28.1 billion in 2016, has the largest network in Oman exceeding 130 branches, 386 ATMs, 131 CDMs and 4500 POS terminals as well as a brokerage subsidiary Bank Muscat Direct.

The Story

LAVA Brands accepted the challenge to create a new face for the digital presence of Bank Muscat and developed a ‘Big Idea’ around the key values of the Bank that should be communicated to it stakeholders through every aspect of banking. Clear communication and direct messaging being the essence of the Bank alongside with it proposition of being ‘bold’, ‘confident’ and a ‘leader’ needed to be translated into design elements through color, typography, and illustrations.

UI/UX Design and Development

High-level wire framing was developed according to the banking functions with ease of use being the hero. After the wire framing was approved by the client, the design elements were transformed into the digital language while keeping up the functionality and responsiveness of the website at its best.
